"There is a house in New Berlin,
they call it house Abendrot*.
It has been the ruin of many good boys,
and god, I know I'm one (*)"

*Abendrot basically means "red sunset/afterglow" and is the name of the brothel, hence house Abendrot.

*The literal translation would be "...and mine, my god I was suffering", where "not leiden" is harder to translate due to it being sort of an idiom. "To suffer" comes close, though.

"If I'd have listened to my Commander,
today I'd be at home
I was young and stupid, a poor boy
lead astray (und gemein?*)"

*The "und gemein" part doesn't make sense and doesn't form a full sentence. Gemein can either be translated as mean/vile or as crude/common. There is no clear indication on what is meant though, due to the sentence not being complete.
