When staunch faces are whipped into sobriety
In the November morning's intense and snowy winds

When your tracks in the snow are covered and
vanish in a matter of seconds

When you feel ready to pass
With feet like blocks of ice and fingers frozen stuck

When the trees start cracking and all life
Has frozen to pale, white statues

Then it's winter
Winter...

It's black as coal, solid winternight
So mighty [or majestic] and gigantic
I gaze upwards into the cold, pure behemoth that is
the night, and feel a peculiar pride
There is nothing to bother or annoy me, no people, no traffic,
No stress,
Winter, I welcome thee,
Each and every warrior of Nordic pride needs thee,
You are hailed and welcomed,
The forest is rife and covered with snow,
So cold and pure,
And to wonder into the silence's majestic and respectful
Solemnity makes me full of joy

I would like to give this amazing moment a tribute
What could possibly be more appropriate right now
than to drink pure liquor and slowly walk through the heavy snow
Further and further 'til you from alcohol
feel exhausted and smouldering hot, to lie down
comfortably and slowly fall asleep...
