Future Fears

Well you can try and force yourself into 
Someone's heart; make them love you 
But you still wont hold the key 

Well you can try and gather all your plans 
Mark you path upon your map 
But the best that you can do is just that 

I’m amazed at the future of my days 
After all the plans I’ve laid 
I couldn't change my fate 

It stayed; the fear that I retain 
And no one can explain 
Just why you came my way 

Well you can run away and cut your hair 
Find a stranger with some change to spare 
But he still won't let you in 

So you can try and hide behind closed doors 
But the angel of Death, he knows what he came for 
And he won't leave 

And when he sees no blood upon the frame 
And he wants you to explain 
Well he'll ask by name 

So you can try to cleanse the air you breath 
And clear your throat before you speak 
But just because you talk doesn't mean he'll believe
