What We Want

pastel boy & girl 

you’ve got me

caught me high

with my head down & my hair in my eyes

feeling sick on my way to the store

going on tour, a different food court in every state

attempting to lie under different stars every night

in a different park or parking lot or field

with the same person at least on my mind

repeating this process every single [bad word] day

until we have all of the things we want 

a limitless supply of fruit 

like thirteen different netflix accounts we dont have to pay for

a big box of nilla wafers

some weird black hole locked away in the closet 

unending darkness but only when we want it

a front porch with a view of the mountains

the moon hanging low in the window 

& still there’s light under every door in this house
