You're buildin' a ship with no sails, 
and settin' out to brave the open seas.

by [bad word] something so far off.

He gave me a train with no tracks, 
with no where to build a bountiful stead. 
Despite all I lack, You'll find he will not turn his back.

And that makes no sense to me.
