Candles

It's been a while now since I locked up in my room
I sit and stare at shadows play with fires in the gloom
Nothing is going to happen to the silence anymore
I have closed the windows flushed the keys to the front door

Candle after candle burning memories of gray
Faces in the smoke appear 
Then smile and fade away
Standing by the mirror differs from what I have been
Is it just a portal to what my life used to be

Though I'll soon be gone
Gone from where I am from
When the sun will dawn
Life will carry on

My thoughts keep on racing and my psyche is impure
Shadows in the candles
Paranoia is my cure
I have gone this far now
Still I have not got a clue
Sitting in the blissfulness
Oh how time just have flew

Unshaven and unbroomed I meet the dreams that I have grown
Counting starts that all of them had painted on me wall
Looking out the window to the world that passes by
Looking at the passage to the life that makes me cry 

Though I'll soon be gone
Gone from where I am from
