Rev Run, from Run DMC, and his two sons will battle Ice Cube and his two sons in a legendary old school-styled cipher appearing on the upcoming BET Hip Hop Awards. The cipher has already been filmed and Hip Hop legend DJ Premier was on the turntables handling the tracks during the historic moment. Ice Cube recently spoke about the opportunity and being a Hip Hop fan caught up in the historic moment. "Last night I stood on a roof in Brooklyn wit my 2 sons (OMG & Doughboy) and the “King of Rock” Rev. Run wit his 2 sons (Diggy & Jo Jo) and we did the BET Hip Hop Awards Cypher. We killed it. Me and Run had 16 bars and our boys had 8 bars a piece. We had DJ Premier on the wheels and it was a beautiful night. Ya’ll don’t understand. I was a straight fan last night. I grew up on Run-DMC and having a chance to do a cypher wit the legendary DJ Run was a bucket list moment for ya’ boy."
