Light my way

Feels like only yesterday I was left alone to find my way
Alone with only empty hopes and dreams (dreams (whisper))
I traveled with no direction planned. Endless miles a contraband.
But fate would intercede for me it seems.

I faced obstacles extremely bold; paid the price one thousand fold.
Rose to each challenge that I would meet.
My efforts though they seemed in vain would one day help to ease the pain
I swore I would never accept defeat

Life was restored when you drifted in. You gave me a chance to win again.
You even cared enough to call me friend.

All my inhibitions have gone away.
