I'm an armchair patriot
part time revolutionary arm pit
minimum wage slave
don't stick your fingers through my cage
I'm the wonder of our age
if life was a video game
then i might engage

But Ill just call it a day
cuz I aint slaving away
to try and figure things out
to try and better the world
I'll just keep my head low
and watch some telly
getting smelly
with this belly
I got no meaning

I'm scared too know
where things might go
I'm just going with the flow
in a world of super villains
and anti-heroes
and you

But every once in a while
with a wince, I get a glimpse
of something greater than me
a thing I dont want but could be
and its pulling me in
heart first, head last
and it forces me too think
going way to fast

its said
no rest
for the wicked

I dont
want to live in a world where
nothing matters
and I wont
run to the comfort of hope any more
and I dont
want to live in a world of good and
evil
and I dont
want to be your soldier anymore
