A Wish for a Tear

I run blinded looking for the light
Far from home, lost and cold
in the darkest shadow

In this world where winter
has coated trees
Tear of relief will send me to sleep
In the night that won't go away

Snow falls upon hiding the sky,
so hard to find
With no funeral
it buries me to this shore

I lay on a frozen lake
and moonbeam descends on me
I wish for a tear one last time

I wish for a tear, but my eyes shut firmly
to escape the world
It took the dawn,
brought the night instead,
night than won't go away
