Dreaming, imperfect dreaming
caught in a life repeating
always just out of grasp
sacred visions of a light shared my own

dreaming, the days pass through me
i've spent a lifetime scheming
all i had hoped to be
whispers lazy in a dream far away

witness, i am a witness
to the darkness and to the fire

gazing up at a single star
i dream of wings to take me higher
