You are my brother, you are my friend,

Eight years ago, we first met
In a lovely and hot summer in Kiev,

To see my brother come out of the gate.

Such precious times, so much joy,
We drank a river and we wrote a book,
I walked with you so many miles,
My friend from the homeland of Robin Hood.

It was an honor to stay at your home in Nott,
And my Moscow doors are always open for you.
I will never forget our days in Verona,
In Kharkov and in York, and I’m sure you remember too.

Stay the same as you are, my brother Steve,
Your friendship means the world to me,
The sun is shining for us in old great Kiev,
Let’s sing our songs, and cheer “hey, please give me one more beer!”.
