I tried to catch you counting the cracks in my lips when I sneezed, but God kept my eyes shut. 
we sat, watching our emotions turn into physical traits; 
your teeth grew straight and my eyes turned back. 
You would toss and moan loudly at night, but I liked you that way. 
I would wake up and make sure your eyes were closed. You never caught me. Not even once.
