At the pinnacle of mediocrity 
The priest of high hypocrisy 
His web of deceit spread across the land 

Enslaver of the gullible 
Declarer of the fanciful 
Darkness descent by his hand 

How many time have the innocent 
Unjustly suffered your wrath 
Condemned to the pyre 
And the mercy of the blade 

Of the courageous few who testified 
To the fallacy of the cross 
Their noble lives were sacrificed 
At the altar of corruption 

Guilt in the innocent 
Fear in the young 
false sense of righteousness in the wrong 

Self depravation 
Genital mutilation 
These offerings are laid 
At the altar of corruption 

The bewildered herd is bonded 
Under the guilt-lash born youth 
Shackles and chains may never assuage 
The thirst tormenting the seekers of truth 

The rabid pack will bay for blood 
In the frenzy of the kill 
Propitiations of smoldering flesh 
Fail to coerce the earth be still 

Fearsome tales of torture 
March unchallenged throught the night 
Anguished screams fade to whisper 
In the coldness of the light 

Hasten the day when the darkness is expelled 
See the blood of the righteous spilled 
Free the yoke from this brave new world 
Over the corpse of the one god, felled
