Nightfall in Suburbia

I wrote most of this piece on a plane flight from Australia to the US. My kick [bad word] mate Justin added some nice acoustic guitar too! I'm not sure exactly how to say in words what I wanted to show you through music. It's meant to portray themes of mystery, deception, deceit, slyness and broken love. When I wrote this song I had just watched a film called 'American Beauty'. The whole concept of a 'normal' family being all kinds of messed up really captured my attention. I imagined all the incredibly dark and sneaky things that perceptively normal people might do when the sun goes down. Everyone has a secret, some secrets darker than others. So all in all, this song is a story of those secrets.
