I'm not going to talk about doubts and confusion
On a night when I can see with my eyes shut
I'm not going to talk about doubts and confusion
On a night when I can see with my eyes shutI'm not going to talk about doubts and confusion
On a night when I can see with my eyes shut
I'm not going to talk about it, I'm not going to talk about it
I'm not going to talk about it, I'm not going to talk about itI'd never been to Ayrshire, I hitched down one Saturday
Sixty miles to Kilmarnock to see Hibernian play
The day was bright and sunny but the game I won't relay
And there was no Kilmarnock Bunnet to make me want to stayBut I'm not going to talk about it
On a night when I can see with my eyes shut
No, I'm not going to talk about it
On a night when I can see with my eyes shutWhen I started walking to Wishaw, my eyes obscured my vision
After five miles on my way, I began to act a lesson
When I started walking to Wishaw, my eyes obscured my vision
After five miles on my way, I began to act a lessonAnd I'm not going to talk about it
On a night when I can see with my eyes shut
I've been sayin', I've been sayin'
On a night when I can see with my eyes shutI walked through the country, I walked through the town
I held my head up and I didn't look down
I walked through the country, I walked through the town
I held my head up and I didn't look downAnd I'm not going to talk about it
On a night when I can see with my eyes shut
Moonlit sky, moonlit sky
On a night when I can see with my eyes shutWell, the question doesn't matter, the answer's always "Aye"
The best view of all is where the land meets the sky
The question doesn't matter, the answer's always "Aye"
The best view of all is where the land meets the skyI'm not going to talk about it
On a night when I can see with my eyes shut
Here I go, here I go
Yeah, yeah, yeahI'd never been to Ayrshire, I hitched down one Saturday
I went sixty miles to Kilmarnock to see Hibernian play
The day was bright and sunny but the game I won't relay
And there was no Kilmarnock Bunnet to make me stayI'm not going to talk about it
On a night when I can see with my eyes shut
I've been sayin', I've been sayin'
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yes

Это интересно:When the Scottish duo of Craig and Charlie Reid emerged in 1987, they were immediately compared to the Everly Brothers. Considering their energetic, melodic folk-rock, the comparison made some sense, even though the Proclaimers didn't really sound like the Everlys. Instead, the band was a post-punk pop band, aggressively displaying their thick accents on sweet, infectiously melodic songs about love, politics, and life in Scotland. Craig Reid and Charlie Reid were born in Leith in 1962, and grew up in Edinburgh, Cornwall and Auchtermuchty. When they stayed in Auchtermuchty they attended Bell Baxter High School. After several punk rock bands at school they formed The Proclaimers in 1983.The... продолжение
