Thornography — восьмой полноформатный альбом английской группы Cradle of Filth, выпущенный 16 октября 2006 года лейблом Roadrunner Records.
Альбом Thornography, вышедший в конце октября 2006 года являет собой серьёзную веху в истории развития еврометалла. Основа альбома – смесь плотного гитарного звука и удивительного вокала Dani Filth’а, слегка огрубевшего с момента выхода Nymphetamin’а.
По структуре работа не сильно отличается от своего предшественника. В связи с уходом из группы Martin Foul’а клавишные партии представлены на данном альбоме в меньшем объёме, чем на последних четырёх, и несут в себе совершенно новый оттенок тёмной сосредоточенности. На Thornography практически нет затяжных scream’ов Dani на высоких нотах, что, не без успеха, заменяется звучащим в нескольких местах «чистым» голосом вокалиста.
В качестве приглашённых музыкантов фигурируют Ville Valo (HIM) и Dirty Harry, которая спела ведущую партию на Temptation – cover’е на известных рокеров Heaven 17 из UK. Особенностью альбома является инструментальная композиция (№10), рождённая мрачным разумом гитариста Paul J Allender’а.
Итог: Thornography – отличный альбом прекрасной группы – must have для всех поклонников тёмного стиля.
