Группа Inflikted сменила свое название на The Cavalera Conspiracy вследствие
нарушения авторских прав,проще говоря группа под названием Inflikted уже
существует.
Проект CAVALERA CONSPIRACY, в состав которого входят бывшие участники
SEPULTURA Макс Кавалера (Max Cavalera, гитара, вокал) и Игорь Кавалера
(Igor Cavalera, барабаны), а также басист Джо Дуплантье (Joe Duplantier)
из французской прогрессив-дэтовой группы GOJIRA и гитарист SOULFLY Марк
Риззо (Marc Rizzo), выпускает дебютный альбом 25 марта 2008 года на лейбле
Roadrunner. В качестве гостя на одном из треков отметился басист Рекс Браун
(Rex Brown, PANTERA, DOWN), а еще один трек спет Максом, Джо и Ричи Кавалерой
(Richie Cavalera, INCITE).
Братья Кавалера не работали вместе после последнего концерта классического
состава SEPULTURA в лондонском зале "Brixton Academy" в декабре 1996 года.
Тем не менее, фэнам пришлось ждать реюниона почти 10 лет. "Когда Игорь и я
встретились на 10-м ежегодном концерте памяти Ди-Лоу (приемный сын Макса ,
погибший в автокатастрофе 10 лет назад ) и взяли в руки инструменты, мы
почувствовали себя так, как будто никогда не расставались. Металл тек по
нашим венам. В студии творилось то же самое," - говорит Макс.
Запись состоялась в июле 2007 года в студии Undercity в Лос-Анджелесе.
В роли продюсера выступил Логан Мейдер (Logan Mader, бывший гитарист
MACHINE HEAD и SOULFLY). На диск войдут 11 песен, среди которых "Inflikted",
"Bloodbrawl", "Terrorize" (ранее известная как "Holy Poison"),
"The Doom of All Fires", "Ultra-Violent" и "My Sanctuary". В качестве бонуса
был также записан кавер классической песни POSSESSED "The Exorcist".
