Анна Волкова
Anna Volkova was well-known as musical manager in moscow show buisness. Working as a PR-agent side by side with some music bands resumed her desire to compose and to appear on the stage.
She started with album in Russian language “In a Whisper” and released it on December 2011.
In April 2012 all those songs were presented in Paris, and at the same time Anna and her jazz band were making a jazz-based program in bossa-nova style. In the same month, they presented it within the framework of the annual jazzy fest “Lady in Jazz”.
To date, Anna do not leave her jazz-band, led by an excellent composer and pianist Vladimir Nesterenko, nevertheless she would like to explore the music genres. That was the reason of appearance of electro pop project called Anise. In 2011 the musicians of Beat-Off-Silence made an arrangement for her sole at that moment track “Feel Black” in English, and the operators Dasha Yastrebova and Anton Shklyanskiy produced a video for it.
The track and video have been available in net for one year and half but deliberately Anna did not expedited their promotion. All that time she was slowly composing the full-fledged album in English. During the Christmas live-broadcast with Slava Finist on Megapolis FM which occurred on the night of 24/25 December Anna presented not only the single Feel Black, that includes the eight remixes by the such DJ-s as BBQ, Electrosoul System, El Toro & Black Jacket, Cutworks, ToneFiction, Gorje Hewek, Popescu, DJ Arseny & Beat-Off-Silence but she revealed some information about the "Anise" project. “Spell”, a title track of the album, sounded on this night for the first time.
